Holtz Design Studio has a wonderful new client and last week we met to take a look at recovering some outdoor cushions.  Like many of my clients, they invest in quality pieces that will last for years to come.  It’s hard to believe but these cushions are 15 years old!

Interior Designer Vail The iron furniture is still in great shape but the cushions were a little stained and faded so we decided to recover them.

Vail Interior DesignMy client wanted a similar fabric to what she currently has, a neutral stripe.  The most important thing when considering fabric for the outdoors is it’s content.  I always look for 100% solution dyed acrylic because it resists stains and fading and can even be cleaned with bleach.  Sunbrella is a great manufacturer which to the trade but sells to a lot of retailers like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware.  One of my favorite to the trade only fabrics is Perennials because of their unique designs.  I’m obsessed with these prints from their newest collection, Road Trippin’.

I was happy that my task was to find a suitable neutral toned fabric and there were plenty to choose from.  This is the fabric that I was trying to match…

I went to several showrooms pulling these neutral fabrics…Eagle Interior Designer

until I discovered…
